Simple Washi Planner Decorating | Washi Wednesday

Hello lovelies!

Sami here bringing you another Washi Wednesday!

Today I thought I would show you a super quick look into my planner. I’ve been using an Inkwell Press Planner for 2017 & today I did a bit of washi decorating using the gorgeous new May washi. This washi is available in the store now individually and as part of the May Planner kit & May Embellishment kit.

Sneak peeks for June officially start tomorrow, but I have a super cute sneak peek in today’s video 🙂

Watch on YouTube

I love how washi adds a beautiful decorative touch to my planner without adding any extra bulk to the page.

I’d love to see how you use washi in your planner. Be sure to tag us on Instagram @shopfreckledfawn & share your projects in our Freckled Fawn Fanatics group.

Have a lovely day!

XO,
Sami

May Planning with Kim

Hello lovelies!

Kim here!

This May planner kit is so versatile and generous I could use it for a month in my planners.

Today I’m showing you how I use it in a structured layout and one a little less rigid.

I covered up the days of the week with the Washi and then added an additional puffy letter sticker on top to make it pop!

Unstructured I used the chipboard backing as a stencil to make task boxes on my page.

Adding several pops of yellow really makes this page pop!

On this day I repeated the washi and added the dimensional stars and those wonderful vellum stickers.

I got a little goofy doodling using the circles from the “stencil”  along with a few more of the chipboard shapes!

Thanks for stopping by!

XO,
Kim

TV Journal: Time Jump by Kristin

Hello Lovelies,
Kristin here! I keep a bunch of traveler’s notebooks going on at the same time. One of my favorite notebooks to grab is my Television Journal. Inside my TV journal, I art journal about whatever shows I’m watching at the moment.
In this spread, my topic was the recent time jump in one of my favorite TV shows. I used the post it notes from the April Planner Kit to create a patterned paper background for my title and journaling. I embellished the right page of the spread with some of the purple toned elements in the April kit, as they complimented both the pink tones in the graphic and the vellum purple alphas in the title.

XO,
Kristin

April Happy Planner Planning with Kim

Hello lovelies, Kim here!

Welcome to my Happy Planner that I use for work! I don’t often show what is going on in my Design Team life but this neutral layout is the perfect base for this super fun and bright April Freckled Fawn Embellishment Kit. If you’re gonna work, you might as well be happy about it!

On the first page I always have a running to do but this time I used the Lavender Alpha as the header. To accent that space, I used the floral washi, but instead of using it the way it was, I cut it in half and flipped the sides before adding it to the page!

Even though Easter has no real relivance to my work calendar, I thought it might be a good idea to have it represented using one of the frames from the kit.

The other side, I again, used those frames to highlight certain days, but also the write a quote in.

The remainder of the quote I placed on the bottom accented by those long enamel diamond stickers in a nifty pattern. across the page.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!!

XO,

Kim

April Planning with Kristin

Hello Lovelies, Kristin here.

I love using Freckled Fawn supplies to help organize and brighten up my planner spreads. The sticky notes in this month’s planner kit were so amazing, I think I’ve used almost half of mine up already. They’re the perfect tiny size. They fit across two days in my Get to Workbook, which makes them perfect for multi-day activities.

The same thing applies to the journaling cards. I like having a big space where I can brainstorm my ideas while still having them in my planner. With the journaling card, I can move it from week-to-week without having to write down all of that information over and over again.

I hope you enjoyed this look in my planner. Have a lovely day!

XO,
Kristin

DIY Traveler’s Notebook Insert Cover Tutorial | Washi Wednesday

Hey everyone! Sami here with another Washi Wednesday Tutorial.

I recently made a cover for my Traveler’s Notebook insert and I wanted to share it with you. I really loved how last week’s clean and simple thank you cards turned out with the Chevron Washi that was part of the March Embellishment Kit and Planner Kit. I wanted to take that a step further by making a TN notebook cover.

Lately I have been using a Freckled Fawn Sleek TN in the color Rich Teal. I just LOVE the texture on this TN. It’s gorgeous!

Here is the quick video showing how I made my cover:

I hope you enjoyed today’s quick tutorial.

Have a lovely day!

Exploration Planner Spread by Kim

Hi, it’s Kim here!

I have recently switched over my “to-go” calendar to be housed in my Freckled Fawn Travelers Notebook.  There is a week overview and each day has it’s own timed daily in these inserts which makes it really fun to deck out my planner!

Using the March kit, I’ve done the whole week exploration style with the wonderful mapped arrows and bright orange washi tape.

I loved the abundance of tag stickers and used them along the spine to house the big boys practice schedule.

On the next page I used that arrow washi and doubled it up on the bottom of the page.  Gives it a little grounding and dimension with it in two layers.  I have also cut  the square in half and placed it on the edges of the column for focus on some FF to-do’s.

The large puffy stickers add a bit of bold pop along with the arrow bleeds to house more list making.

I again used some sticker bleeds in combination to the regular tags and arrows.

Cutting the single piece of washi into columns made the design very different, don’t you think?

And for my weekend vibes, I used the wood veneer frames but cut off the frame part.  I did rub each piece with brown stamp ink to disguise the natural cut marks.

With the arrows directing focus on the tasks at hand, how could I be lead astray.

Thank for joining me today here on the blog!

xoxoxo

Kim
