Fall TN Layout by Nicole

Hello Lovelies!
Nicole here and today I have a travelers notebook layout featuring the beautiful October Freckled Fawn papers and embellishments! The papers this month have been absolutely beautiful! I love how the labels and washi tape even match them!
Today’s insert was inspired by a quiet drive that I took alone…which doesn’t happen all that often. I had a random day off during the week when the kids were in school and my husband was working and honestly, it just felt good to be alone… and drive….in quiet…lol. The scenery that day was just beautiful, so I had to stop and take a few snap shots. Here’s a look at my final spread:
I decided to keep this spread more on the simple side because I knew I wanted to do a lot of writing, documenting what I did that day to remember it. Here are a few close ups of my final spread:

Thanks so much for joining me today!
Be sure to head over to the FF Shop to pick up these beautiful fall embellishments!
Have a great week ahead!
XO,
Nicole

Black and White Planning with Kim

Hello, lovelies! Kim here bringing you some black and white planner inspiration.

Every September Freckled Fawn does and exclusive black and white kit.  Black is the perfect dress when it comes to planning for me; goes with anything.

These alphas got a color change from White and Yellow in the May kit  and will look fantastic together, but I wanted to keep this weekly spread very monochromatic.  I added pieces of the vellum strips to highlight a few things and then added a half strip under the alphas. Because Sunday doesn’t have any events, its a great time to jazz up the planner with some black and white patterned paper.  (I’m totally excited about the new FF paper subscription coming next month!!!!)

These thin days of the week wood veneers I’ve used 2 ways.  I cut it an half and inked the first half and the second half I used as a stamp. But hen the flap folds down….

…I have day meeting up with the other side for a perfect fit!  I did end up using most of the washi tape on the sides and top as well as a divider on the Monday page to distinguish between my tasks for the day and the weekly goals. The glitter enamel triangles were a great addition to focus my attention to the slew of phone calls that I had to make!

Thanks for stopping by today!

XO,
Kim

Slow Traveler’s Notebook Layout by Kim

Hello, lovelies! Kim here! Last year’s October kit had a few of the same colors as this years October kit so I decided to combine them together to make a whole new one with all that I have left.

I try and use each kit up to it’s last and the perfect way for me is doing scrappy challenges.  This particular one has a free printable which had the same tones so they worked very well together.

Here is the house journal card and I used the hearts from this months kit to mimic smoke.  I’m not trying to reinvent the wheel, it is just is a cute way to incorporate those little detail touches onto your page.  Can I say how much I’m loving these new papers?!  I used them to back each page of my TN layout to add a punch of spice.

Alphas are great but when you are missing vowels, it’s kinda a problem:)  I didn’t have an O so I found this Q and made sure I turned it backwards and stitched across so it would take on it’s new letter shape (and sound, LOL)!

Thanks for stopping by today!

XO,
Kim

Just Wing It TN Layout by Jennie

Hey Everyone! This is Jennie. In this post, I’m using the September Oh Deer Me Kit from Freckled Fawn! It’s Black & White and I am loving it! I also pulled a bunch of black & white items from my freckled stash.
I used an old Freckled Fawn stamp and StazOn to decorate this Notebook Insert. On the corner, I used the polka dot washi from the September Kit. I kept the embellishments really simple. I LOVE these Resin Cameras, this was my favorite camera from the Doodle Puffy Camera Stickers. I love Puffy Icon Stickers and these circles are so versatile and pretty!

On the inside of this Notebook Insert I made this black & white spread.

On top of the Acetate Circle I used one of the borders from the Black & White Vellum Stickers. In the September Oh Deer Me Kit you get 4 Resin Cameras and there are two styles. I used one for the cover and one for this spread. Next to my photo I used the Silver Foil Epoxy Astronomy Stickers and Chipboard Phrase Stickers.

I did some lettering with my Tombow Brush Pens and finished the quote with the Black Puffy Script Alphas. I love these Glitter Enamel Triangles.

I hope you enjoyed taking a peek into my Traveler’s Notebook!
Take Care!
XO,
Jennie

A Look Inside My Traveler’s Notebook by Nicole

Hello Lovelies!
Nicole here and today I’m going to take you on a first look inside my Freckled Fawn black heart pocketstyle Travelers Notebook!  I’ve been dabbling in TNs for a few months, but recently I have just been in love with them!  It’s become my new best friend to do mini layouts in!  My past TNs, I have done more of the mixed media/art journal pages with a few home made inserts. This was one of the first times I have really dug into the FF inserts and I love how many pages are in them! Here is a quick look into the inside cover of my TN and how I decorated the cover of one of my inserts:

I have really been loving the Black and White September kit this month and having the black heart TN, it’s really hard to not want everything bold colored with all the black elements from that kit in my projects! lol!!  If you have read my previous FF post, I mentioned that I created sort of a “mini kit” from my stash with a lot of bold colors and then of course the black and white September kit.  I had a photo from our summer vacation with my youngest son being his goofy self with his blanket on his head and sunglasses on, so I decided that was the perfect photo to scrap for this layout.  Here are a few close ups:

I absolutely love love love this kit and can not wait to create and share a few more projects with you!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Be sure to join the FF Facebook group for more inspiring TN layouts and projects!
Have a beautiful week!
XO,
Nicole

August Planning with Kim

Hi there!  Kim here to show you a fresh way of using some of the beautiful elements in the August Embellishment Kit!

To start off with, we got these beautiful Vintage Doily Acetate Diecuts!
I used them two ways.  I placed them in a random pattern on the bed of my copier and printed a page.  I then cut it to fit as a background for my planner page.  I creates a beautiful, smooth surface to write your day’s tasks on in addition to using them physically in other places in your planner as well.

I made this tag by using parts and pieces of the journal cards designed exclusively for Freckled Fawn by Lili Niclass.  I also attached a piece of the acetate doily as well as the floral wood chips to create some more texture and interest.

On the facing page I again, used a ripped journal card as a header for some events happening that Friday and accented it with those incredibly clear phrase stickers.  Seriously, can not get more clearer than clear!

And the hidden gem of the kit would be the metal charms in a doily, feather and leaf.  I’ve attached them together and clipped to the elastic of my travelers notebook as a fun accessory.  These are exclusive to the kit which I’m sad to say has sold out already but you can always subscribe to be in on next month’s exclusive goodies no matter what!

I appreciate you joining me here!  I hope I’ve inspired you today!

XO,
Kim

July Monthly Spread by Kim

Hey there, Kim here to show you how the embellishment kit works flawlessly as a planner kit!  As you can see from the shop already, that the planner kit is sold out! #yeah  But this embellishment kit is absolutely spot on for use as a planner kit instead!

The chipboard pieces, like the sun, star and phrase sticker, add fantastic dimension and texture to your layout.  If you have concerns about them being too bulky on your page, just take an xacto knive or even the point of your finger nail to decrease the bulk of the paper layers, to what ever height you would like.

Then run it through a Xyron machine or add you’re own adhesive to add it to your layout easily!

This corner I got a little goofy, split the watermelon chipboard in 2 and made it into an emoji-like dude with drawn teeth and an enamel dot eyeball. Those alpha stickers, printed on super think and lux vellum add a great, fun font choice to this view. And don’t forget to document some memories along the way, which I did with the label stickers and a picture of my favorite Luke!

There are so many details in the this layout, from the glitter icon stickers to the resin two toned heart,  I can always stop back and see something I didn’t know I had put there before! Thanks for joining me today and I would love to see how you use the embellishment kit in your planner!

XO,
Kim

July Planning with Kim

Hello lovelies! Kim here with a July planner spread.

I’ve done several planner spreads with the July Embellishment kit (the Planner kit is sold out!), and I totally love the summer vibes feel associated with it!

The best part of these kits are the flexibility of them; you can be either unstructured or structured in nature depending on your style of planning!  Today I’ll show you both ways, using the same planner.

My first planner spread using this kit is totally unstructured.

The alphas in this kit mirror the washi tape so well I wanted to feature them together in this fun little corner mimicking a camp sign post.

I used the labels to write down some tasks for the day and I also included a picture of our recent vacation since I was reminiscing on how fun a time we had!

I have no problem stapling the rubber shapes onto the page! It always adds a bit of fun texture to your layouts along with the glitter icon stickers!

Now, here are the pages for the structured layout!

On the top part of the page, I used the alpha to highlight the activities we have for each day.

Then on the bottom of the page, with a background of watercolor, I added my to do lists.

The label and chipboard stickers are a great fill in for the space left over and the perfect place and some more reminders!

I love the versatility and variety in each and every kit.  Go grab yourself one too!

XO,
Kim
