Hi everyone, it’s Lisa on the blog today!
I’m glad to be back after 6 weeks of vacation 😉 Today I’m sharing this layout.
When I first saw the September kit, I was immediately inspired by the little enamel triangles. I decided to use that shape with a lot of different black and white papers!
So first, I chose several patterned papers from my stash, I cut them into triangles and created 5 rows, alternating the patterns.
Since everything was black and white I wanted to use colored pictures. The neon glasses on the photos inspired me to use really bright colors, to put on 5 more triangles on too of the others, to brighten things up a bit. Then I hand-stitched over them with matching colored thread 🙂
After that, I went crazy with the kit embellishments!!! I used enamel triangles, washi stickers, puffy circles and alphas.
Matted the pictures and sprinkled a bit of neon chalk markers on one side of the layout and the whole thing was done.
Really love how this turned out, especially because I rarely use black backgrounds, but I think it always looks cool paired with neon colors!
The September kit is so cute with everything black and white and it really inspires to go in a different direction when scrapbooking!
