Hi there! Niki here with you today with a summery layout with lots of washi!
I loved the bright summery colours on the washi sheets that were included in the June Embellishment kit & planner kit. They are such fun patterns. I wanted to re-create the look of the whole sheet on my layout so I placed them all along one side of my layout. The colours and patterns really pop against the white card background. I added a few more strips to other parts of the layout and then added stitching detail with both straight stitch and zig-zag stitch on my sewing machine.
I added a doily and my photo and then had some fun adding embellishments. I backed the wood veneer sunshine with orange paper so that the words appeared orange. I used some of the circle washi stickers and a few circles and hearts cut from patterned papers. I built up the embellishing by adding chipboard words, those fantastic flip-flops and I cut up tiny shapes from one of the washi strips and put them individually onto my layout – with the white background of the washi, these look like rub-on transfers! They were the perfect tiny embellishment that I was looking for.
I love how bright and summary the layout turned out!
Thanks for stopping by and happy scrapping!
