Traditionally I like to scrap in 12×12 size and therefore I have done exactly that but also incorporated a sheet of the 8.5×11” paper. The patterns are super gorgeous and I chose one of the more subtle ones to add to the left side of my layout.
I cut an Autumn themed cut file out of white card, and backed each aperture with the Journal cards or patterned papers. This is a technique I really love as it brings in lots of colour, pattern and interest to a layout. Once filled I added this cut file to my layout.
I the positioned one of the Journal cards to the right side of my layout – I often use journal cards as layers under my photo or cut bits from them but on this occasion I have used the card in it’s entirely, as a feature on the layout. I just loved the cute ‘Autumn’ letters and their arrangement, so cute!
I embellished the layout using lots of lovely things from the October Embellishment kit: those golden leaves add such a gorgeous pop of gold to the layout. I used a number of stickers from the chipboard sheet, as well as the wooden buttons and gold infused Cork Stickers and some of the labels.
Thanks so much for stopping by to see my layout, what Autumn themed things will you make with the October kit?
