Hi everyone! Niki here with you today with a Halloween themed layout made using the October Embellishment kit and October Journal Cards. Here in the UK Halloween isn’t quite as big a deal as it is over in the states but we do enjoy getting dressed up and going out Trick or Treating of course (my kids think it is the coolest night of the year as they get so many sweets!) So I had to make a Halloween layout with the October kit!
I had some Halloween paper left over from last year which I thought I should use up and I pulled out everything orange from the October Embellishment kit and all the orange patterns from the Journal cards.
I cut some cut files from black cardstock and layered those onto my layout with my photo. I embellished the layout with those absolutely gorgeous gold infused cork pumpkin stickers and I fussy cut a pumpkin from one of the journal cards.
For my title I used the wood chip word ‘October’ that came in the kit but I added black glittery embossing powder and heat embossed it. The result is super stunning and now it’s been turned into a scary Halloween themed title for my spooky layout.
I also used some of the star stickers I had leftover from the September kit and some orange arrows from August.
I finished off my layout with some machine stitching. I love how it turned out and that I managed to create a Halloween themed layout out of a kit that was not Halloween themed at all which shows how versatile the Freckled Fawn kits are.
