Hello friends! Candace here!
Today I am so excited to share my first layout for Freckled Fawn as a design team gal! For today’s double page layout I used the June Embellishment Kit along with a few extra goodies from the shop. I wanted to document a recent trip my husband and I took to South Carolina together in a grid style layout. I used a digital grid template from Ali Edwards to place my pictures into the layout.
I printed out all the photos at 3×3 and laid them on two 8.5×11 sheets of card stock. Next, I cut up various journal cards from the Adventure set of journal cards to add a bit of color and design to the spread.
I wanted the spread to stay pretty clean and simple so I went light and intentional with the embellishments.
I chose to use the chipboard word strips as my main embellishment. I was happy to see that the word strips matched the photos perfectly!
I love the perfectly shaped enamel hearts and added one on top of the “adventure” card to add a little more color.
I used the cork letters to symbolize “SC” for South Carolina. I love how the cork compliments the navy blue on the card.
I chose a few pictures and cards around the spread to pop up to add a little more interest and dimension to the spread.
I added my journaling on a 3×3 card in the lower right hand corner to bring the whole spread together! I love the whole spread and how it came together easily with the accents and cards from the shop!
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a beautiful day!
