Hi there Freckled Fawn friends! Niki here with you today with a bright and fun layout. Every so often I like to document things that my children say. Usually I ask them a series of questions and write down their answers, but this time I asked my daughter to tell me 10 things about herself. I loved the things she came out with!
I used the acetate numbers as the basis for my layout and arranged those onto my page first. I have never found a way to adhere acetate shapes to a layout without the adhesive showing through so I usually use small pieces of tape or glue dots and then place embellishments over the places where the adhesive shows through, so you will now know exactly where all my adhesive is hidden! Shhhhh, don’t tell anyone lol.
Once the numbers were in place I added three tiny photos and then set about embellishing. I used some of the washi strips and stickers, a few of the chipboard words, a unicorn sticker (at my daughter’s request!), the little ice lolly and some other bits from last month’s kit. I could then add in all the funny things she had said about herself. I wanted a few variations on how I wrote these, i.e. I didn’t want them all to be written directly onto the white card background, so I used some washi strips, some patterned paper strips and for some I did write direct. I used a photo pen to write onto the washi tape and once the ink had dried it was permanent so there was no possibility of it being smudged or wiped off.
Thanks so much for looking at my layout and see you next time.
