Hey there Freckled Fawn Fans, it’s Niki here again today with another 8.5×11” layout to share. I usually scrap in 12×12 format but I’ve been enjoying the 8.5×11” smaller size lately. This change-up was prompted by the gorgeous 8.5×11” October papers. I have scrapped in this smaller size before but usually default back to 12×12 but I think I am going to make myself do more in this size because I have really enjoyed it.
I started this layout with a white cardstock background and I have used one of the October papers to make a border. I then used another of the papers to cut a leafy cut file from so that my cut file was full of colour on top of my white background. I chose one of the lighter patterns so that my leaves were subtle and not too bold. This pattern worked really well.
I added in lots of those gorgeous gold leaves to compliment my cut file and I layered up my photo onto some of the October Journal cards and label stickers and positioned that onto my layout.
I embellished my layout using the October Embellishment kit. I’ve used some of the wooden buttons, and various shapes from the chipboard sheet and those gorgeous cork leaf stickers of course. I used quite a few of the Plaid Puffy Heart Stickers – I absolutely love hearts, they are probably my favourite shape and these were so easy to use to add extra detail to my layouts this month.
At the bottom of the layout I have also used the gorgeous thin plaid washi tape that came in the October Embellishment kit, teamed up with a border sticker from the chipboard sheet. This grounds my layout really well and I love the overall result.
Thanks for popping by to see and read all about my layout, I hope you have enjoyed it.
